An e-mail newsletter
from Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of
North Central Massachusetts, Inc.
Dear Friend,
I hope this newsletter finds you and your family well as  summer is just about to take hold. While much rain and cooler temperatures are the order of the day, do not despair! As the old saying goes, "If you don't like New England weather, just wait a minute."
May was another busy month here at Care Net. The Center had a total number of 70 client visits, 8 pregnancy tests, 3 ultrasounds and the privilege to present the Gospel on 11 occasions. In addition, we welcomed another new board member and volunteer, presented at two area High School Health Fairs, participated at meetings for training and bridge building in the community, hosted a baby shower at First Baptist Church of Leominster and were the honored mission at the Leominster Assembly of God Ladies' Brunch.
Someone asked me today if we engage in protests. I told them we do not and do not intend to. That is not our calling. Women do have a legal right under current law to choose the outcome of their pregnancy. However, we have found that "if you save the life of a mother, you will save the life of her baby." The crisis pregnancy center movement has flourished because those who participate in it and support it have come to realize that women do not choose an abortion based upon an ideological commitment. Women choose abortions because they think that there are no other alternatives for dealing with their personal crisis of an unplanned pregnancy. We are here to help them make the best choice.
When I think about the Center staff, I am truly amazed at the grace God has given us in them.These women are so happy to be in the Lord's service. They have an attitude of gratitude and humility. They meet every situation with prayer. Simply put, they are loving people back to life again.

Thank you so very much for your precious partnership with us over the past 33 years. We do not take any person or church for granted. May God bless you in every way for your faithfulness, which often comes just in the nick of time!

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you,
David P. Bodanza, Esq.

Are you our Link 2 Life Connection?
childrenCare Net needs a member of each Christian church in the Montachusett region to serve as a liaison between Care Net and their own church. The Link 2 Life Connection is a person who keeps the leadership and congregation of their church informed of the ministry of Care Net.  The Link 2 Life Connection person also informs the Care Net staff and Board of Directors of current events at their church. A one year commitment is all that is asked of any one person.
Keeping this ministry alive - in the minds and hearts of the people of our supporting churches --- is extremely important.  We are a parachurch ministry. We serve alongside the local church. As a licensed medical clinic staffed by able Christian women, we are uniquely called and equipped to help people involved in a crisis pregnancy. And if just 20 people from 20 different churches gave $25 per month to Care Net, our financial needs would be fully supplied.We know that working together, we can make an impact of eternal significance. Let us love them back to life!
The Link 2 Life Connection person:

Acts as the contact person between Care Net and their own Church;
Informs the leadership and congregation of Care Net's ministry events and needs;
Ensures that information is included in church publications such as bulletins;
Speaks to the congregation once per year on behalf of Care Net;
Acts as referral source for persons in crisis pregnancy; and
Acts as referral source for persons needing other services provided by Care Net.
And don't worry: Care Net specially equips and supports each Link 2 Life Connection so that they may be effective in their own church.
"Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love." 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NLT)
Happy Father's Day!   and don't forget to return your baby bottles...
A Christian father is an awesome and noble instrument in God's hands. It is a great fatherblessing for any child to have a wise, gentle, loving, supportive and protective father. Dads, may you be encouraged today. May it be one of your life goals to leave a legacy of godly children. "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4.
Please also remember our Baby Bottle campaign this Father's Day. We delivered many baby bottles on Mother's Day to churches in the Montachusett region. Please bring your bottles back to your church filled with loose change this Father's Day. Call us and we will pick up what you have saved in your bottles. All your giving goes directly to this ministry ! "Save some change, make some change."
The Consequences of Sex Out of Context
ringsWe must admit that we lived in a sex-crazed world. To far too many people, sex is casual and meaningless. The consequences of their sexual activity are often tragic. These consequences may be a sexually-transmitted disease, a divorce, an addiction, an unplanned pregnancy, an abortion and other very painful things.
As Christians, we must remember that sex itself is not the problem. Sex is a good gift of God that is meaningful and designed for a purpose. This gift may only be truly received in a specific context. God intended that sexual union be in the context of a marriage union. There is an old illustration that remains poignant. A fire in a fireplace is good, warm and pleasurable. A fire in another part of your house is likely to cause destruction and may even burn your house down! You get the message.
Our society is suffering the consequences of sex out of context. Sex out of context is sin. Sin comes with a heavy price. We see its tragic effects on young people daily at the Center. Pray with us that a lost generation would be found and that, woman by woman, we may make a difference of eternal significance.

The tragedy of living by the sword...the blessing of living by the Word
babyThe May 31 murder of Kansas abortionist Dr. George Tiller was a shock to us all. Care Net strongly condemns the brutal act of violence that ended the life of Dr.Tiller. It is never consistent with pro-life values to murder another human being. Dr. Tiller earned a living by performing late term abortions, a procedure so heinous and violent that we dare not remind anyone of it here. There is tragedy for those who live by the sword. Jesus said "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword." Matthew 26:52. Judgment is God's province. We can only tremble for those whose sins are not forgiven.
May we be people who live by the Word.
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish." Psalm 1.
Some Words to Ponder...
"We are going to have to realize that America is a mission field, not a battlefield. We are not going to take America back---America is lost! America at its very foundation is exactly where the Athenians were in the Areopagus, worshiping the unknown god alongside all the idols they had time to worship.Michael Horton
"A true faith in Jesus Christ will not suffer us to be idle. No, it is an active, lively, restless principle; it fills the heart, so that it cannot be easy till it is doing something for Jesus Christ." George Whitefield
 "Do what you can with what you've got wherever you are." President Theodore Roosevelt
"I know this issue is very controversial. But unless and until it can be proven that an unborn child is not a human being, can we justify assuming without proof that it isn't? No one has yet offered such proof; indeed, all the evidence is to the contrary. We should rise above bitterness and reproach, and if Americans could come together in a spirit of understanding and helping, then we could find positive solutions to the tragedy of abortion."  President Ronald Reagan

 "To say a child is unwanted says nothing about the child, but it says much about the person who does not want his or her child..." Jean Staker Garton
"Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."  Joshua 24:14-15
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." Jim Elliot
May God bless us all as we stand together for Him in this generation...
