Dear Friend,

I trust that you and your family are doing well, staying healthy and keeping warm. Advent is a season set apart for reflection on the most remarkable event in all of human history: the incarnation of the Living God. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Immanuel: God with us.

As Christmas is upon us, we at Care Net are very thankful for all God has done through this ministry in 2009. We are also greatly blessed by your prayers, support and encouragement. We would not last a day without you! Thus far this year, we have had 861 total client visits, 166 pregnancy tests, 58 ultrasounds and we have had the opportunity to share the Gospel 80 times. There is much, much more. Lives have been saved.

It is hard to forget each occasion where that has happened. When we look into the beautiful little face of a baby born that was intended for an abortion, we are awestruck. Those who attended the banquet in October had a glimpse of just that.

You are making a difference in history of exponential proportions. I hope you never forget that.

You are special and you are loved,

Banquet Blessings...Babies Born baby bottles

You may have heard by now. This year's banquet was a great success! Over 300 people attended and gave $43,000 in one time gifts, table sponsorships and pledges toward our annual budget of $100,000. The evening was a very special one as we honored Claire Rollo and Jacqueline Antonioni for their lifetime efforts on behalf of life. We also watched a Day 4 Life, our newest documentary, which gives insight into what a day in the life at the Center is like. We heard from Juanita and met her precious little Naomi and there was not much more that could be said after that. Living proof! We are so grateful for lives spared, right before our eyes.

Each day, 3,300 women wake up in America believing abortion is the only realistic solution to an unplanned pregnancy. This does not have to be. We are here in the Montachusett region to love them back to life again, one woman at a time.
No Room for Him in the Inn church

"She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7. Perhaps you have read this Bible verse concerning our Lord and Saviour's birth many times before. Think about it for a moment with me. The Son of God was incarnated as an infant and laid in an animal feeding trough for a crib. There was no room for them in the inn. What if Jesus came today? Would there be any room for Him? Is there any room for Him today in business, in government, in schools, in conversation---in the celebration of His own birth? It seems like our society will tolerate just about anything, except the Lord Jesus Christ. Though we are in the minority in a secularized culture, thank God there is a remnant of people who love and cherish the Lord Jesus Christ! May our hearts echo the refrain of the old hymn: "O come to my heart, Lord Jesus, there is room in my heart for Thee!"

National Sanctity of Life Sunday
January 24, 2010

In 1983, the Christian Action Council Education and Ministries Fund, which is today known as Care Net, asked President Ronald Reagan to create a special day to focus on the intrinsic value of human life and the fundamental right to life, as recognized by the American Founding Fathers.life

In 1983, President Reagan issued a proclamation establishing a National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Since 1983, the proclamation has also been repeated by Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is held on the Sunday in January that falls closest to the day on which the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973. This coming year it is scheduled for Sunday, January 24, 2010.

We are once again asking every Christian church in the Montachusett region which supports life to have a second offering during their Sunday, January 24, 2010, service to benefit Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of North Central Massachusetts. Pastors and church leaders, please let me know by a quick e-mail if we can count on your church. If you prefer, you may also contact Gail Gardner at the Center at 978-342-4244. Last year was such a great blessing!

May you have a very blessed Christmas and may God bless and keep us all as we stand together for Him in the new year to come...
