Dear Friend,
At Care Net, a person may serve on the board of directors for 6 years and then he or she must take at least one year off. We have thought this principle to be a wise way to encourage many Christians in the Montachusett community to offer their time and talents to the cause over the years. My term began in 2006, the last four years as president. It has been a true privilege to serve the Lord here.We have come a long way since 2006. God has been so gracious to us and we give Him all the glory! 


Thus, my term as President of Care Net has recently ended. Please do not worry, I will still be around in an advisory capacity. Yet, it has become to clear to me that there are other areas of Christian ministry where I am to now serve. I am very excited.


My good friend and dear brother, David Haschig, has been elected President of Care Net on July 2, 2012. David attends Messiah Lutheran Church in Fitchburg. He has served on the Care Net board for the past two years and I am excited to see how the Lord will use him in this role. May God bless your ministry here David! 


We thank you for all your generous support, past, present and future. Like you, we cannot ignore women in the crisis of unplanned pregnancies in the Montachusett region.  Our goal is to love people back to life again. 

Together by the grace of God, we have worked a co-laborers in this local mission field for the past 36 years. You and your church are deeply appreciated. We are so grateful that you have recognized the need and answered the call. Babies have been spared and souls have been saved!

The new Care Net Center at 515 Main Street was dedicated on Sunday, May 20, 2012 with over 100 people in attendance. The building was dedicated to the glory of God the Father, who has called us by His grace, God the Son, who loved us and gave Himself for us, and God the Holy Spirit, who illumines and strengthens us; For the worship of God through serving others, with prayer and praise, for the presentation of the good news of Jesus Christ and for the sanctity of human life;

For the comfort of those who are in crisis, for wisdom to those who will make decisions, for light to those who seek the way; For the conversion of sinners, for the promotion of righteousness, for the extension of the kingdom of God as God gives us opportunity; in the unity of the faith, in the bond of Christian fellowship, in love and goodwill to all; in gratitude for the labors of all who love and serve here, and in loving remembrance of all those who have finished their labors; As members of the body of Christ, grateful for our heritage, and sensible of our responsibility, we dedicated ourselves to the service of Almighty God in this building, whether in labor here or in prayerful and financial support of those who will labor here, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Save the Date for the Annual Banquet . . . October 25, 2012
Our Tenth Annual Fundraising Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Four Points by Sheraton in LeominsterSheraton. We hope that you will plan to attend! Our banquet was a wonderful success last year and we are hoping for the same this year. It is an evening of fellowship and good food with the opportunity to hear what is happening at Care Net and how you can be a part of what our Lord is doing through His people here. It is also a time to catch up with others in the Christian community that you have not seen in awhile!

The Annual Banquet is made possible by very generous and helpful local people, churches and businesses we call "Table Sponsors" and "Table Hosts." A Table Sponsor donates $500 to sponsor one table. That donation underwrites the cost and expenses of the banquet for the people at the table. A Table Host, who is often the same person, business or church as the Table Sponsor, will arrange for that table to be filled with people who care about the mission and are open to donating to Care Net. Our Table Sponsors and Table Hosts are very much appreciated. If you or your business could help in this way, please let us know. Give Gail Gardner a call at the Center. If your church is not yet involved in this way, perhaps you could be the spark that kindles the fire with your pastor or missions' committee !
