“I am not My Own” a song by Keith & Kristyn Getty – The One who made the heavens and the earth, made my heart and soul before I drew a breath, I was loved and known…
Our theme for this year is to do everything in love.

On June 7th Bethany Bible Chapel’s Right to Life Initiative, Spiritual Adoption Program honored us with a Baby Shower.
There was four speakers at the shower. Randy Haimila is our Dad-Vocate, he spoke about the journey he is on as he becomes available to dads. Olivia Clinkscale and her husband have adopted baby Willa. She told her story. Gail Gardner talked about who we are and what we do at the center. And last to speak was Jean Bogli, a Spiritual Adoption Intercessor from the Chapel. It is her story I will share.

Jean told us about a visit she was making to see her granddaughter in Connecticut. Before she left the Lord put on her heart to bring a fetal model with her. We had given Darlene Rossi the coordinator of the chapels right to life initiative the fetal models we had on hand. When Jean arrived to see her granddaughter she was told that her grandaughters friend was pregnant and had scheduled an abortion. The abortion provider had told the mom that it was only a bunch of cells. Jean talked to this new mom for about four hours and showed her the model. In a mist of tears and heart rending discussion the mom made a decision to set up an adoption plan for her baby. The plan was to have an open adoption, one in which she would be able to visit her child.

We closed our time together by singing “I am not my own”
I am not my own and now my heart is free
O Maker, come and make what you will of me
There is nothing broken that You cannot repair
So Lord, I leave my life in Your loving care
