Our theme for this year is to do everything in love.
Spring brings us the beauty of God’s creation. It’s a joy to see the flowers bring color after their winter rest. One of the gifts of love we receive at the clinic is a relationship that spans years. This month we did an ultrasound on a woman that has been coming to us since 2012. This is her fourth pregnancy and we have come along side of her for each one. We have shared with her the love of her heavenly Father over the years. We talked about this new baby coming in to her life. She has a relationship with the father of the baby. We spoke of marriage. I bought her the book, the Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman and mailed it to her.
We are also ministering to another mom who lives in a residential recovery home with her baby. She has been viewing our infant video series we offer through Bright Course. This month she viewed Car Seat Safety, Infant Hygiene, and Infant Temperament. She is very engaged in her lessons and completes the worksheet and homework that comes with it. God has so blessed us. She loves coming in to shop in the boutique with the credits she has earned.
The lessons we present from Bright Course have a Spiritual Application sheet and a Fact Sheet. The Spiritual Application sheet opens up an opportunity for us to share with our moms and dads the love God has for them. From Infant Temperament: “Did you know that you are unique and different from anyone else? Just like no two snowflakes are alike, God made each person special and unique from one another. The same is true of your baby. Your baby expresses this uniqueness through their emotions. Eventually, you will learn what they think, feel, like, and want by their smiles, giggles, and cries.”
“Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14
