Great job Fitchburg Knights of Columbus

Harry Hakala, Dan Cucchiara and Cheryl Jarvis Cucchiara dropped of all the diapers, wipes and clothes they had collected the month of May.   A check is also in the mail from the 50/50 Raffle they did at the club for the Mother’s Day Breakfast. Thank you Joshua Champagne for your help selling tickets. The Fitchburg Council #99 also donated a $1,000 towards a new Ultra Sound Machine for the center this past year.

2018 Coalition Training

It is an exciting time when we are able to gather with our co-workers from all over New England for a training.  Pictured are Rose and Laurie, Client Advocates, Gail, Executive Director, Aimee, LPN and Paula, Nurse Manager.  Wendy, our Director of Development took the picture.  We all met at Freedom Worship Center in West Boylston on May 30th.  Our teacher was Cynthia Hopkins, VP of Center Services and Client Care, Care Net headquarters in Virginia.  She gave us an introduction on how to be a “Pregnancy Decision Coach.”

“Jesus is our perfect example of qualities we want to emulate as we serve in the pregnancy center ministry.  His earthly ministry was characterized by many traits, including authenticity, acceptance, humility, and empathy.”  At the training we explored what each of these traits meant to us and how we would use them to bring compassion, hope and help to men and women facing unplanned pregnancy.

Choose Life Plate

Mark Conrad, facilitator, proudly wore his choose life plate t-shirt.  This training is underwritten by a grant from them.  If you don’t have a “Choose Life” plate it may be time for you to consider obtaining one.  It is a wonderful way to raise public awareness and  needed funding to support positive choices of Life, Adoption and Safe Havens for men and women facing unplanned pregnancies.

Spare some change to make a change

If you haven’t picked up a baby bottle to fill with change at your church, stop by the center and we’ll gladly give you one.

David Benson was our Keynote Speaker at our 15th Annual Fundraising Banquet.  He was born in Florida in 1970 without half of his arms and legs but has never let that stop him from embracing life.  You may view his thought provoking video on our website www.friendsofcarenetfitchburg.org

Our theme this year was from the Gospel of Matthew.  “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for such is the kingdom of heaven.”  19:14

David Benson’s Story

David Benson was born in Florida in 1970 without half of his arms and legs but has never let that stop him from embracing life. From being able to put his own socks on in the morning to driving a car, skiing, scuba diving or kayaking, David doesn’t let any obstacle get in the way of enthusiastically loving the life God has given him. He has been an educator for almost 20 years mostly as a special education teacher. He brings his no nonsense and humorous approach to life teaching people that no matter their circumstance God has a plan for everyone. His powerful testimony brings encouragement and hope to those who hear his story. Through David’s life story, people can see that, no matter the obstacles or barriers, there is a place for each and every one of us. David’s inspirational message reaffirms that all life is precious. We all have a purpose and no one is ever a “mistake” in God’s eyes.

“Let the Children come to Me……” Jesus said in Matthew 19:14 and this was our theme for our 15th annual fundraiser held earlier this month.  We were blessed to have David Benson as our keynote speaker.

Donate To Care Net PRC Fitchburg

Thank you for supporting Care Net PRC Fitchburg in 2017

It is because of you, our sponsors and donors, that Care Net PRC Fitchburg can provide services to women in crises pregnancies.  This year our annual fundraising banquet, held on October 12, 2017, featured keynote speaker David Benson. We all had a wonderful night. It was an evening of fellowship and good food. We listened to testimonies from our staff and provided you, our Friends of Care Net Fitchburg, with an update as to what is happening at Care Net and how you can be a part of what our Lord is doing through His people, here at this clinic. It was also a time to catch up with others in the Christian community that you have not seen in a while.

If you could not attend this year, please remember — it’s never too late to donate and help keep Care Net PRC Fitchburg open and serving women in our community.

Anne and Mark’s wedding

On April 1st Mark married Anne.  They already had everything that they needed so they asked their guests to bring baby clothes or give a gift of money to support our ministry.  The many men and women who participate in our program will be blessed.

Thank you Maritza from Crossroads for your innovative kick-off to our bottle drive fundraising. We are grateful to the many churches that go the extra mile to help us. All that change keeps our doors open as we offer life-affirming alternatives to abortion and compassionate counsel to those who face pregnancy and abortion related issues.

Excel Christmas Gift

Gardner and Sparks

Gail Gardner and Patty Sparks

Patty Sparks and her fellow elves from Excel Church paid us a visit and brought us a check for our ministry. We have had a blessed year in our ministry as we offer hope to a hurting world. John 8:12 reminds us that Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Since 2008 Care Net-affiliated centers saved the lives of over 531,000 unborn babies.  We are thankful to all our churches that have partnered with us this year.  It is only through your continued support we are able to offer free services.  Our mission is to offer life-affirming alternatives to abortion and compassionate counsel to those who face pregnancy and abortion related issues.
