On September 19, we had a regional training in West Boylston. Paula Butler, Rose Giammalvo, Wendy Mattis, Christine Burby, Dori Jackson, Gail Gardner and Ann Fleming attended. Anne Person co-founder of Loving & Caring Inc conducted a six hour training seminar to equip and encourage counselors, pregnancy center volunteers and others who help young women and men and their families. We focused on the principles of adoption and on-going counseling. She offers brochures and workbooks to assist clients.
October 2nd, met with Pastor Paul Martin at New Life Church to go over some of the finishing touches for showing October Baby at Cinema World in Fitchburg. The church covered the cost and gave CareNet the credit. Over 2,000 tickets were sent to area churches.
October 5th, went to Mission event at Heritage Bible Chapel. Ann Fleming set up a display for the center. Gave out free tickets for October Baby.
October 6th, filmed Cassie’s story for banquet. Mike Maletto from New Life did the video and edited it. Paula Butler sat in on the filming. It was a wonderful time to share with Cassie her story of God’s grace as she went through a pregnancy knowing her baby would not survive.
October 20th, met with the ladies from Messiah Lutheran Church and gave them a tour of the center. Received some much needed diapers for the baby boutique.
2012 Banquet Ushers
October 25th, 10th Annual Fundraising Banquet at Sheraton. We filled 32 tables. The evening went smoothly, so many contributed to make this event possible. Glory and Praise filled the room as we thanked our Lord for all he does in this ministry. Pictured above are the ushers who came out to serve at this event.
October 29th – 31st. October Baby comes to Cinema World along with hurricane Sandy. Fifteen people braved the storm Monday afternoon. Monday night the theatre was closed. Tuesday and Wednesday October Baby goers made up 70% of all who went to the movies. Yea God.
